Team FOSG are out in FINE force this morning for the Berko half and fun run.

We have 17 (yes, 17!) fabulous volunteers pounding the streets (and hills) of Berko to raise money for our kiddos.

What better way to say ‘thank you’ and ‘good luck’ than adding a cheeky donation to the pot

You may have heard we hit our initial target 👏🏻

We are SO incredibly grateful to all the families, friends & local businesses who have supported the cause 🙌🏻

📢 A HUGE shout out to our latest generous donor @herts_tree_surgeons for their MASSIVE donation that takes us even closer to our commitment of £15,000 🌟

We started this campaign in the hope we could raise £10K but the generosity shown has allows us to exceed this well before our Christmas Day deadline. This now means we can use less of our reserves to help fund the play equipment and as a result our initial fundraising commitment of a well being space in school can still be on track.

If yoh are still able to help us there are exactly 3 weeks until Christmas Day 🎄 and what better way to celebrate the season of goodwill by making a donation.

The children of Swing Gate are going to be beyond thrilled with their new playground 🛝

This morning we have woken up to a HUGE anonymous donation. It takes us to 85% of the way there.

A big shout out this morning to @dacorumdecoratingsupplies for their generous pledge to the cause.

Thank you to all our school and local community for their contributions so far.

🚨 Emergency fundraising update 🚨

The story goes that the much loved Adventure Trail play area at Swing Gate is condemed.

We set ourselves the target of raising £10K by Christmas to help get our kids a new one (it costs ALOT more than this, by the way!)

We have been blown away by the generosity. Our parents, families and friends have whole heartedly got behind us.

Now the business world is as well. Our pledge wall is up and running and our first banners are in place.

At the time of writing we have raised a massive 72% of our target 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Our most recent donor @thelittlebikeco have generously donated £500 to the cause
We are WHEELY very grateful they have come along for the fundraising RIDE
(If you keep donating you won’t have to listen to these terrible puns for much longer. Bonus, right?)

Here is the current view our little Swing Gate Children face EVERYDAY

Their much loved, condemned Adventure Trail Playground is cordoned off and a sorry sight to behold.

They kids are sad. Very, very sad.

The FOSG team have done a great job in our emergency fundraiser so far but we still have a long way to go.

We need the help of our local community. Any businesses out there who can donate will get a place on the pledge wall - it’s great advertising space. Our first business donors already have their banners up for at least the next 3 months.

Our kids are currently without their much loved adventure trail. 🛝

Every kid, past and present, loves their scheduled playtime on the adventure trail ♥️

But our kids are currently heartbroken 💔

They’re crying into their playtime milk 😭

They’re desperate to play & be happy once more 🙇‍♀️

BUT all is not lost - Team FoSG are going ALL OUT this term to drive a ‘Playground for Swing Gate’ emergency fundraising plan.
